Yksin

Yksin is Juhani Aho’s novel first published  in 1890. A man who works as a teacher decides to go on a long trip to Paris. Prior to that he plans to study French in Helsinki. Everything changes, however, when he meets his old friend’s sister, Anna. Anna is no longer a little girl, but a beautiful young woman. He falls in love with her instantly. What happens when the man tells Anna that he loves her? What happens to his Paris trip?

This edition, part of the Finnish Easy Reading series, is written in simplified Finnish, suitable for readers with intermediate Finnish language skills. The book contains also vocabulary footnotes and a practice section with questions and vocabulary exercises.
