Moara cu Noroc is a short story written in 1880 by Ioan Slavici.
The peaceful lives of Ghiță and his wife, Ana, is disturbed when he moves with his family to Moara cu Noroc to earn more money. Ghiță starts working with Lică, a not very honest pig supervisor, and starts having more and more problems with the law. His greed and desire to get rich alienate him from his wife, and he becomes gradually unrecognizable.
This edition, part of the Romanian Easy Readers series, is written in simplified Romanian, suitable for readers with advanced Romanian language skills. The book contains also vocabulary footnotes and comprehension questions at the end of each chapter.
